Plot Synopsis:
"Mei and Shen meet again in Shanghai on the eve of the Pacific War. Shen is an underground agent for the Chinese government, Mei is a popular songstress. One of her many admirerers is Noguchi, an anti-war Japanese officer. Shen and Mei renew their love and Mei is pregnant. But they quarrel and break up. Shen is ambushed and wounded. He is given up for lost. Pearl Harbor! Mei loses her job. Noguchi helps her and proposes marriage to give her child a father. But Shen comes back. Noguchi tells him everything, but Shen cannot reconcile with Mei since he has orders to kill Noguchi and Mei."
