Plot Synopsis:
"GI Joe is the codename for American's daring, highly trained special mission force. It's purpose, to defend human freedom against Cobra - a ruthless, terrorist organization determined to rule the world."
Cobra Commander plots treason against Serpentor and is turned into a snake by Golobulus for his pains. The G.I. Joes take sympathy on him, oddly enough.

Favorite Moments:

  • Nope! This one isn't G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Christopher Eccleston and Sienna Miller (although I should really review that one, pronto). This one is based on the 80's Saturday morning cartoon and voiced by Don Johnson at the height of his popularity. Totally different film, er, with the same characters, of course.
  • I've always been partial to G.I. Joe, in spite of being a peace-loving gal. Perhaps it's because I had an uncle (Joe) and cousin (Joey) in the military. More likely, though, it's because G.I. Joe always had a handful of decent female characters running around: brainy-but-boring Lady Jaye, beautiful Scarlett, the awesomely evil Baroness, etc..
  • Battle on top of the Statue of Liberty in the opening credits! And, unlike the X-Men, they didn't completely destroy it in the process.
  • Jinx, who can only fight blindfolded. Sigh.
  • Battling control for the B.E.T. Who knew the Black Entertainment Network would be so hotly contested among international terrorists and military forces?
